A review for Judith D. Grimaldi:

“My mom now has home health care through Medicaid thanks to you and your firm. I can’t thank you and your associates enough for all your hard work and kindness during a challenging time for myself and my mom. In the future, if I ever need to recommend someone to help in any aspect of eldercare planning, I will recommend Grimaldi Yeung without hesitation. There was nothing more important to me than making sure that my mom received the care that she needed, and you and your firm have been instrumental in me achieving my goals.”

A review for Joanne Seminara:

“I am truly thankful to Joanne Seminara, Esq. I was at my ‘wit’s end trying to maneuver the Medicaid MLTC process for my mom. I met with Joanne and immediately felt at ease. With compassion, she explained a clear and concise plan on how to move forward. I am extremely pleased Mom finally got the services she so desperately needed.”

A review for Judith D. Grimaldi:

“This practice exemplifies the rare combination of professionalism, expertise, and compassion. Judith D. Grimaldi was a staunch ally and advocate through the emotionally difficult process of setting up a family trust and eventually making sure that my mother had the best possible situation in a long-term care facility. Dawn Bidetti was also extremely helpful. No question or concern was too large or small–and I always received a prompt and helpful reply. I like the fact that this is a woman-led business, and I feel very confident recommending Grimaldi Yeung to all. ”

A review for Pauline Yeung:

“Very professional service. Highly recommend Pauline Yeung-Ha. She is smart, professional and considerate.
She really knows her stuff and actually cares for her clients.
At my moms consultation today, she asked my mom some really pertinent questions. This politely managed to get mom to carefully consider private, personal and sometimes, conflicting issues.
Honorable mention goes to Stephanie for making us feel welcomed.
Trust Grimaldi Yeung to assist with all legal matters.”

A review for Joanne Seminara:

“Enclosed are the requested bank statements from Aunt Margaret’s Citibank account from the time of her death to the present. Once again, I (we) would like to thank you not only for your professionalism but for your evident care and concern in a very difficult time. So, as one book ends, another opens, just as challenging, and it’s good to know that you and your team will be at my side. Please thank Dawn Ellwood as well for all of her efforts.”

A review for Pauline Yeung:

“If you need a top lawyer and a friend, Pauline Yeung-Ha is the one. She has been helping my parents and me for setting up trusts and wills and all type of legal documents since 2007. The HIPAA release and Authorization Form she created for my parents has made my life much earlier when I need to obtain all type of medical records from Hospital or labs for them without extra signatures or paperwork. I highly recommend Pauline and her firm without reservation.”

A review for Joanne Seminara:

“My brother and I were most pleased with the outstanding professionalism, expertise, and experience that Joanne Seminara, her legal assistant, and her firm Grimaldi Yeung Law Group provided us during the most emotional and difficult months of our lives. It was a pleasure to walk into her office, which was most warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable, professional atmosphere, as we met to discuss any legal matters that were quite new to us.

Selling our mom’s house, our home for more than fifty years, was both emotionally draining and legally challenging. Yet, Joanne’s consistent reassurance and communication made all the difference to us as we handled this overwhelming situation. I certainly appreciated Joanne’s calmness, patience, and understanding that went beyond her valuable legal advice and knowledge. I am sure that future clients will also benefit from these positive qualities that are most important during a time that can be quite upsetting and frightening to many people. I related to her kind manner and understanding nature. I am sure that future clients will also be as pleased and as grateful as we have been.

I would certainly highly recommend Joanne Seminara’s services without any hesitation. Thank you again.”

A review for Judith D. Grimaldi:

“Judith D. Grimaldi was a wonderful Elder Care Attorney. I had a 93-year-old grandfather who did not want to be institutionalized and wanted to live his remaining days at home. He was constantly falling, getting stitches, and was in the emergency room regularly. Judith was able to expedite the paperwork necessary to get him 24 hours day care. Due to her hard work, my grandfather was able to live the remaining 3 years of his life with dignity!”
Thank you, Judith

A review for Joanne Seminara:

“You gave so much information in such a clear, warm way, explaining these complex and often anxiety-producing legal and financial decisions. It was a wonderful introduction and guide to what needs to be considered and worked out in a legal form, and I had the feeling that many people came away with new confidence for getting the plans set up.”

A review for Judith D. Grimaldi:

“When I first came to your law firm, I was anxious and unsure of how I could best help my uncle. At 76 years of age, he is the baby of his three surviving siblings, and he has never been married. We are a close Italian family, and my uncle is also my Godfather, so taking care of him was never a question. However, taking care of him so he would stay home close to family and be comfortable seemed like it would be an impossibility. After all, what did I know about any of this? Several people recommended that I make an appointment with your office, but I was unsure how to proceed. After trying to balance things for a year, I realized I needed help. Immediately after our first meeting, I knew we were in good hands.

Judith D. Grimaldi and her staff have given my family and me so much support during this journey. Despite my many, many questions and concerns, I can honestly say I was never made to feel like a bother, even when your staff had to explain things over to me again a second or third time. Instead, I felt like I had a whole team supporting me throughout this entire process. I never hesitated to call when I had a concern, and someone was always there to help me! I felt encouraged about the decisions I was making for my uncle. The staff at Grimaldi Yeung is a group of professionals who truly care about their clients. I can’t stress that enough! It has impressed me so much that I can’t stop telling friends about my experience with your law firm.

Sometimes we meet people who touch our lives in such a special way, and we struggle to find just the right words to convey what is in our hearts. My uncle has always been a timid man filled with fears, especially about how his “golden years” would play out. You and your entire staff have certainly changed that for him. So, along with my deepest thanks for all that you have done to help me through this process, I hope you feel the gratitude and respect I have for what you have done for my uncle.

A review for Joanne Seminara:

“I don’t know what I would have done without guidance and assistance from Grimaldi Yeung. When my 92-year-old mother, who lives alone, suffered a small stroke, I was in a frenzy. With a combination of lawyers and a social worker on staff, Grimaldi Yeung walked me through complicated processes and answered the many questions I had. They developed a long-term plan to meet my mother’s needs and gave me peace of mind.”

“You have helped us immeasurably in fulfilling our mission to provide high-quality legal services to American forces being deployed overseas. As part of our military duties, we are called upon month after month to execute wills and related documents for soldiers, sailors, and airmen about to depart for the war zone. By sharing with us your incomparable professional expertise in this area of law, you have greatly benefited the men and women of our armed forces who have a critical need for this assistance. We are all better soldiers thanks to your help.”

A review for Angela Choy:

A review for Pauline Yeung-Ha:

“It is not very often people find time to express gratitude, but I thought you would be happy to know that you’ve helped my family a great deal with the Irrevocable Trust.

My Dad came to the US in 1973 with nothing in his pocket. He worked six days a week in the garment factory till retirement to make a living to support his 3 kids. My mom also worked in the garment factory to support us. I myself worked on summer in the garment factory. It was laborious work. We lived in Chinatown at that time.

Chinatown in 1970 was an unsafe place to go to school. There were local gangs in the school and the streets. To protect the family, my parents scrap every penny they have to buy a house in Queens. The bank will not lend a mortgage to them, so they have to put in a 40 % down payment. I do not know how to save that type of money with 3 kids, but they managed. We never had new clothes, and my parents used to make all our clothes for us. We know how hard they worked. Therefore, we never complained, and we never care. I am saddened by all the sacrifices my Dad and Mom made.

The house was their pride and joy. They have this little piece of garden in the back. They started planting some flowers, then vegetables. They loved the quiet neighborhood and their neighbors. They were poor, but they have their house. They lived there in their retirement year because of the garden. My Dad can never give up his garden. May he rest in peace.

They lived there for over 30 years. Thru your work, you were able to help them save the only pride possession they have, THEIR HOUSE. I hope my mom can live out her years with the money that they saved as their house. I just wanted you to know that you are doing great work to help the elder. This is why I am telling their story.”

Thank you, Sincerely,

A review for David Kronenberg:

Mr. Kronenberg displayed true passion for his job. He was compassionate, and exhibited great communication and listening skills. He was honest in his responses to my concerns.

He was extremely knowledgeable in regards to the care Advocacy for my mother, and the appeal process with the Insurance company.

I am grateful for his patience and perseverance with follow ups for documents and reports from mom’s doctor.

I am very thankful for Mr. Kronenberg’s quick decisive actions that resulted in a positive outcome for my mother.

A review for Judith D. Grimaldi:

“On behalf of all my staff, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your firm for all the support you have given us in the past couple of years. The residents at Shore Hill have certainly benefited from the seminars your staff presented and have found the literature extremely helpful. Your assistance to the Caregivers group has enabled them to take steps to put their affairs of a loved one in order, and most of all, helped them to be more at ease and stress-free.

We are truly grateful to have such a giving, caring, and compassionate person in our community. You are always so willing to be of service in whichever way you can help. Bay Ridge is certainly proud of your firm and your contributions to the community.

Judi, thanks again, and know it is always a pleasure working with you.”

My heartfelt thanks.

A review for Judith D Grimaldi:

“I originally contacted Judith Grimaldi for help regarding a Medicaid application for my sister, who has various stroke-related physical and cognitive disabilities, and have found in her and her team an empathetic source of knowledge, advice, and efficient professional support not only in the complex process of navigating the New York State Department of Health system but also in many other legal and practical issues that I face in handling my sister’s care from a distance.

In our first interview Judith took the time to understand my sister’s case as a whole, offering a unique perspective informed not only by her extensive experience as an elder lawyer, but also by her background in social work. Following the successful Medicaid application and the establishment of Managed Long-Term Care and a Pooled Trust for my sister.

Judith’s personal involvement, as well as the support of Angela Choy and Young Mee Kim, have been and continue to be a constant source of tranquility and confidence for me. I greatly appreciate not only their prompt response to and resolution of specific practical issues, but also their availability to answer a variety of questions in a sensitive and informed manner, with attention both to detail and to the “big picture”. I also appreciate the firm’s broader involvement in social issues and their offering of webinars and bulletins regarding changing legislation and regulations. I highly recommend Grimaldi and Yeung to anyone seeking help with elder law matters.”

A review for David Kronenberg:

A few years ago it became clear that my husband would soon be needing professional care to remain in our home. I knew this would be a complicated process and more than I could handle on my own. I was advised to work with a “senior lawyer” which was a branch of law that I didn’t even know existed. A friend recommended David and we scheduled a consultation. From the very beginning he was clear & patient and he described what needed to be done and in what order…and he walked us through the process step by step. There were documents & information to be located…forms to be signed, witnessed, notarized, etc. and with David’s guidance, we got it all done. As we accomplished each step, David made sure we understood what we had done and why. At the end of the process, we were granted 35 hours of in-home care and what’s more…we found the perfect care-giver who lives right in our neighborhood. Throughout the entire process, David was supportive & friendly & respectful. I can’t imagine going through this without him.
