VIRTUAL NOTARIZATION IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE IN NEW YORK STATE

As the number of COVID-19 cases has declined, and the New York State Disaster Emergency is expired. As a result, the Governor’s Emergency Executive Order permitting legal documents to be notarized by virtual means is rescinded. As a result Grimaldi Yeung Law Group will no longer be able to provide remote executions of your legal documents. Only in person execution of Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and Wills will be accepted.

The Bar Association has instructed that attorneys “…should not presume that documents electronically notarized under the procedures … in the governor’s executive orders are valid after … June 24, 2021.”

That means you should not execute any documents in a virtual setting after June 24, 2021, as they will not be valid.

If you are unsure about your documents, please call Grimaldi Yeung Law Group at 718-238-6960 or contact us by clicking here.
