Mary leads the Grimaldi Yeung Law Group’s Estate Administration team. With over 25 years of experience in this field, she ably supervises the probate and administration of our client’s estate and trust matters. Her ability to solve the varied issues which may arise in settling complex estates while also remaining sensitive to family issues is evidence of her special skill. Our firm’s clients benefit from her experience and diligence in such various areas as probate, administration, trust proceedings, kinship, disclaimer planning and post-mortem income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate tax and trust management. She has represented both individual and corporate executors and trustees.

Mary spearheaded and presented at the Annual Lecture on Lifetime Planning for the Elderly for VOLS Organization, Legal Support Unit, Legal Services for New York City from 2000 to 2011, and remains available for consultation to VOLS attorneys in connection with their pro bono work. She has also lectured on Planning with Advanced Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney and Long Term Planning for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and continues to represent the Grimaldi Yeung Law Group in client webinars and community presentations.

She was an early volunteer attorney in the legal program organized by Sherman & Sterling to bring legal advice and information on administrative relief to victims of the September 11th 2001 World Trade Center disaster. Mary also conducted an Estate Planning and Administration seminar for the Robert B. McKay Outreach Program of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. From 2010 to 2017 she served on the Board of Directors of her New York City coop, and brings this particular understanding of New York’s unique real estate market when family estates include coops and condominiums.

Mary is a member of the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association.

Mary is a life-long New Yorker and art enthusiast. She enjoys the city’s museums, cultural life, and its variety of restaurants and cuisines. Her daughter Elizabeth is a 2021 college graduate.

Mary earned her JD Degree from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude, and her Undergraduate Degree from Boston University, magna cum laude. She also attended State University of New York at Binghamton, Harpur College, as an Undergraduate.
