Michelle R. DeSouza-Forte, Associate Attorney

Michelle is a member of the Estate Administration team, and manages the probate and administration of our clients’ and their families’ estates. She is always available with a sympathetic and kind ear to assist our clients through the difficult and often complex process of settling their loved ones’ affairs. She assists with collecting assets and unraveling the procedures of many financial institutions.

As a solo practitioner for over ten years, Michelle experienced clients’ diverse needs and learned to address them as they arose.  She also represented clients in the areas of real estate, immigration, and landlord-tenant law.

Michelle is an active member of her community. She conducts seminars on the importance of Estate Planning and Healthcare Directives for local community organizations and is the recipient of The Caribbean Life Newspaper Impact Award.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY Albany and a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan Thomas Cooley Law School, and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and attending church in her free time.
