Monica is a seasoned trusts and estates attorney with nearly two decades of experience representing high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and fiduciaries in a wide range of estate planning and trust and estate administration matters. She advises clients on sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, tax planning, and both domestic and international trust and estate administration. Her deep knowledge of fiduciary accounting, estate and gift tax returns, and Surrogate’s Court proceedings, combined with her meticulous attention to detail and client-centered approach, has earned her a strong reputation in the field.

Monica is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was recognized for excellence in estate and gift tax law, and holds a B.A. in English from Rutgers University. She is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the LGBT Bar Association of New York.

Beyond her legal practice, Monica has dedicated significant time to pro bono work. She has provided services through the New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center’s free legal clinic, volunteered with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights “Voting Rights Project,” and contributed to the Advocates for Trans Equality’s “Name Change Project.” She is also a proud supporter of GLAAD, HRC, and the ACLU.
